Solid Waste Challenges and Opportunities – State and Private Updates

“How limited is waste disposal capacity in northern New England?
What can we do to increase reduction and diversion?”

Over the past five to ten years, there has been a reduction in solid waste disposal capacity in New England with increasing pressure to find alternatives for management of wastes. Things continue to change, with potential further reductions in net capacity. And efforts continue to reduce what needs to go to our landfills and waste-to-energy plants.

Join EBC, SWANA, and NRRA for a discussion of solid waste disposal capacity in northern New England and what we can do to increase reduction and diversion to reduce disposal needs. Hear from representatives from regulatory state agencies as well as leading industry representatives who are evaluating, planning, managing, and working to solve our disposal challenges.

General Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (3.5 training contact hours). Please select this option during registration if you wish to receive a certificate.

Conference Co-Chairs:
