Annual Recycling Conference

For nearly 40 years, NRRA has brought together key players in the resource recovery industry to address pressing recycling market and waste stream issues.  NRRA's critically acclaimed Recycling Conference & Expo is a premier annual resource recovery conference focused exclusively on municipal recycling in the Northeast.

Our Conference is typically held in mid-May and is widely attended by solid waste and recycling operators and supervisors, department of public works staff, town administrators, recycling committee members, school teachers, school administrators and students.  We offer workshops and speakers that are engaging and relevant to current matters faced by the solid waste and recycling industry.  The exhibit hall hosts over 40 exhibitors and from across the industry in addition to activities designed to help entertain and interest students, educators and municipal attendees alike!

There is something for everyone at this annual two day event .  Be sure to join our conference mailing list to receive updates!

The School Recycling Conference

The School Recycling Conference is an annual event held every  spring in conjunction with the NRRA Conference. We strive to present the latest information about school recycling through our workshops, activities and exhibitors.

Regrettably, the 39th Annual NRRA Recycling Conference & Expo and the 11th Annual School Recycling Conference were cancelled for 2020, and the 2021 Conference is unlikely.

However, we still want to recognize schools and their dedicated staff and students for continuing their recycling efforts despite the challenges presented by the pandemic.  We are happy to announce that we will be accepting nominations for our School Recycling Awards for the 2019-2020 school year.  Please use the Nomination Form to complete and submit your nominees for school, student, teacher or staff recycling awards.  The deadline is November 20, 2020.  Selections will be made and the awards will be presented virtually during the holidays.

In addition, New Hampshire the Beautiful will be accepting essays for consideration to receive their School Recycling Innovation Award.  This generous award comes with a $500 check to be used for improving your school's recycling program.  To learn more about this award, see the Press Release from 2018. The deadline for submitting essays is also November 20, 2020, with the selection and presentation to be made during the holidays.
