Meet the Winners:

Marc Morgan - 2022 Sami Izzo Recycler of the Year - has worked in the solid waste/recycling industry for more than 25 years. His focus has been the development of recycling and waste reduction programs. For the past 8 years, Marc worked for the City of Lebanon, New Hampshire, bringing with him a waste reduction philosophy while managing the City’s Solid Waste Division; which includes a landfill.

Marc's outstanding waste reduction efforts and passion for recycling earned him this prestigious award. Congratulations!!!

Scott Hazelton - NRRA 2022 Volunteer of the Year - is the Sunapee, NH Highway Director, which oversees the Highway Department, Transfer Station, and Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Department. Scott is a strong and consistent volunteer for NRRA. He has leant his deep expertise to NRRA member communities as a volunteer member of the USDA-grant-funded NRRA Solid Waste Advisory Team (SWAT). Ivar Martin - NRRA 2022 Vendor of the Year - consistently delivers excellent glass crushing service and expertise to NRRA members across the Northeast.

Ivar moves his mobile crusher and skid steer from one NRRA PGA site to another as 1,000 tons of material is stockpiled. He moves his grinder to sites including: Littleton, NH, Waste Management - Rochester, New London, NH (and one of his favorites for the lovely beaches) Dennis, MA on the Cape. The glass is screened to each state's specifications, which vary (from 3/8 of an inch to an inch) to be used for local applications.
