Bonnie Bethune is the Senior Member Services Representative of the Northeast Resource Recovery Association.  She assists NRRA’s municipal members with a wide variety of technical assistance and cooperative marketing and purchasing needs.  This includes marketing tractor-trailer loads of recyclable material to environmentally sound vendors and providing hands-on technical assistance to help solid waste facility operators improve their solid waste management and planning.  Bonnie also presents on the subject of recycling and waste reduction.   

Prior to joining NRRA as a Member Services Representative in 2003, Bonnie worked extensively in the field of recycling and solid waste.  As a student at the University of New Hampshire, she worked at the campus recycling center.  Later, she operated an incinerator and recycling center in Wilton, NH, and later managed a landfill and recycling facility in New Boston, NH, both member communities of NRRA.  Bonnie brings the solid waste facility operator’s perspective to NRRA and enjoys working with and for NRRA’s hardworking facility operators as well as all others in the recycling field.

Bonnie received a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Conservation from the University of New Hampshire.  Bonnie is certified as a Senior Principal Operator through the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services Solid Waste Facility Operator Training and Certification Program.    

Bonnie's personal interests include hiking, kayaking, reading, fixing up her 1940’s camp in the foothills of the White Mountains, but mostly sharing that peaceful space with family and friends.
