Welcome Brian Patnoe, Member Services Manager

October 6, 2022

Please welcome Brian Patnoe as the new Member Services Manager for the Northeast Resource Recovery Association!

Brian has worked in the recycling field for over 20 years and has extensive expertise in cooperative marketing, education and technical assistance in recycling and waste reduction.

He began his work in the recycling field as a freshman in High School in 1998.  What he thought would be a three-week temporary position turned into a lifelong passion.  After working part time through high school at the Lancaster Transfer Station, Brian went on to New Hampshire Technical Institute (NHTI) where he received his Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems. He also co-founded the NHTI Recycling Group, helping with the transition from no paper recycling to 1000 pounds per week!  In 2003, he started at the Littleton Transfer Station and eventually took over as manager in 2013.  In early 2021, he returned to the Lancaster as the Transfer Station Manager.

In recent years, Brian has served as a “super volunteer” on NRRA’s Board of Trustees. Among other things, Brian played an important role in supporting NRRA’s recent USDA Recycling with Results grant work as well as preparation for NRRA’s upcoming USDA and EPA grants.

In his new position, Brian will assist NRRA’s municipal members with a wide variety of technical assistance, cooperative marketing, and purchasing needs.  This includes marketing tractor-trailer loads of recyclable material to environmentally sound vendors and providing hands-on technical assistance to help solid waste facility operators improve their solid waste management and planning. He brings the skills and expertise not only to NRRA, but to all of New Hampshire's Coös County, as he remains based out of Lancaster, NH and is able to travel to neighboring communities in New Hampshire and Vermont to provide on-site technical assistance.

In his spare time, Brian likes spending time with his family and animals on their farm, RPC Stables.

Welcome, Brian, NRRA is lucky to have you!
