Registration Now Open!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Epsom, NH – For over forty years, recycling nonprofit Northeast Resource Recovery Association’s (NRRA) Recycling Conference & Expo has been the premier annual event focused exclusively on municipal recycling and waste reduction in the Northeast. This year, the conference will be held for the first time at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord, NH on Monday, May 22 and Tuesday, May 23, 2023. This year’s theme, “Recycling Tools of the Trade” emphasizes the tools and skills necessary to build thriving municipal recycling and waste reduction programs in our communities. New England has the highest cost for trash disposal in the US, making waste diversion a financial and environmental imperative.

Each year, hundreds of attendees join from across the recycling and waste management industry, including leaders and decisionmakers from municipal recycling centers and transfer stations, state, city, and town governments, and business and industry. This year’s conference features 22 workshops, a National Keynote panel featuring recycling and solid waste experts, and a State-level Keynote panel featuring members of the NH Solid Waste Working Group.

The conference agenda features over a dozen workshops, including:

  • Landfill 201: Design & the Environment
  • Municipal Composting
  • How the Federal Government is Strengthening Recycling
  • Don’t Trash Your Cash
  • Recycling 101 for Residents
  • Plus, three workshops focused on solid waste and recycling grants!

Registration is now open. The conference will count toward NHDES continuing education credits for each hour attended and certificates of attendance will be awarded.

NRRA’s annual recycling conference is successful because of the dedication, commitment, and generosity of the businesses and organizations that participate as sponsors.  Sponsorship ensures high visibility and recognition among attendees. Please take a moment to thank our 2023 Conference Sponsors. If your organization would like to learn more about sponsoring, conference sponsorships are still available.

About the Northeast Resource Recovery Association (NRRA)

The Northeast Resource Recovery Association (NRRA) is the oldest and largest cooperative-model recycling nonprofit in the United States. NRRA partners with over 450 municipalities, businesses, and individuals throughout New England to make recycling strong through economic and environmentally sound solutions.  In particular, NRRA supports many small, rural communities in New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts.  NRRA is one of only a handful of nonprofits in the country that enables communities to manage their own recycling programs by connecting them with end markets for recyclables. Founded in 1981, NRRA has a deep expertise in the recycling markets, and in partnership with our members, we share that information through education and technical assistance. To learn more visit www.nrrarecycles.org.
