2022 Annual Meeting

September 27, 2022

Welcome to the 41st NRRA Annual Meeting!

All members are cordially invited to join the trustees and staff of NRRA for the Annual Meeting and Luncheon on Wednesday, November 9 from 12-2pm at the Puritan Backroom Restaurant.

This year, we will hear from NRRA Vendors as they tackle the top three commodities that affect everyday operations: Plastics, Fibers, and Glass recycling. We are also excited to celebrate the accomplishments of our members and vendors over the past year with our awards presentation. Finally, members will vote on renewing members for NRRA's Board of Trustees.

The NRRA is your organization, so please plan to attend or send a representative in your place.

We look forward to seeing you!

 ABOUT OUR PRESENTERS

Cassandra Flores studied Sociology at Wilfrid Laurier University and McMaster University. Following employment in the not-for-profit sector, she would later redirect her efforts spending nearly nine years in the scrap metal recycling and processing industry. Looking to expand her recycling commodity knowledge, she recently joined the GFL Environmental Inc. team in February 2022. Now, as the Commodity Sales Manager at the North York campus, Cassandra helps market all recycled commodities generated by GFL material recovery facilities (MRFs) as well as for partnering MRFs throughout North America.

Tom Moore has worked with the APC Paper Group for nearly 30 years. APC Paper, A division of ProAmpac, purchases approximately 90,000 tons of recovered paper for its two recycled paper mills, located in Norfolk, NY and Claremont, NH.

Ivar Martin has been an NRRA Vendor since at least 2008.  When Ivar saw NRRA's former glass crusher working in Goffstown NH, he thought he could build a better mouse trap”—or in this case glass crusher”—and he did!  Since then, Ivar has been NRRA's go-to for all things PGA (Processed Glass Aggregate) to the tune of nearly 46,000 tons crushed at glass sites from Littleton, NH to Cape Cod, MA!
