Help Wanted: Transfer Station Recycling Center Lead Attendant, Barrington, NH

 The Town of Barrington, NH (9,049) is looking for an enthusiastic individual who cares about the environment enough to ensure that trash and recycling materials are properly handled. The Lead Attendant at the Transfer Station and Recycling Center helps other workers with monitoring trash and recycling material received, while keeping the facility safe, clean and organized. Must provide good customer service and assist the public while enforcing rules and regulations.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Sufficient ability to understand and perform the major duties of the job and lift 50 pounds.
  • Possession of, or ability to be certified as a Solid Waste Facility Operator.

This is a part-time (30 hours/week) position. The facility schedule is currently two days a week during winter hours of operation: Tuesday 1:00pm-6:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am-4:00pm. Summer hours will include the addition of Thursday hours 1:00pm-5:00pm. Some scheduling flexibility is available for remaining hours. Hourly pay range starting at $18.06. Includes 85% individual health insurance, generous earned time, and other insurances.
