Superintendent of Solid Waste (Transfer Station / Recycling Center), General Government Buildings, Parks and Properties.

The Town of Henniker has an opening for a Superintendent of Solid Waste (Transfer Station /Recycling Center), General Government Buildings, Parks and Properties. The Superintendent is a department head and has responsibility for the Transfer Station and Recycling Center (Solid Waste) operations, General Government Buildings, Parks and Properties in Town. The Superintendent directs the operation of the facilities. They work directly with, as well as supervise the activities of, personnel and volunteers engaged in facility functions. The Superintendent ensures compliance with all local policies and procedures, laws, regulations and permits relating to solid waste. The Superintendent enjoys considerable independence under the general administrative direction of the Town Administrator.

Full time position minimum 37.5 hours per week. The hourly compensation range is: $23.09 to $32.38 per hour.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Shall possess a Solid Waste principal operator in accordance with NH Code of Administrative Rules Chapter Env-Sw 1600 and Hazardous Waste Designation. Also, preference will be given to applicants that hold a Senior Principal Operator License with NH DES. A New Hampshire Class B CDL driver's license is preferred but not required. Two years or more of supervisory experience or sufficient experience, which demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities required.
