Help Wanted: Solid Waste Manager, Littleton, NH

The Town of Littleton is accepting applications for a full-time, year-round position as Solid Waste Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Solid Waste Department, including processing household trash, recyclables and other wastes, staff supervision, budget administration, record keeping, product marketing and operating equipment. The Town is seeking someone with a history of excellent job performance and with the ability to work as a team.

H. S. diploma or equivalent.  Possession of a valid NH CDL license preferred.  Certified as a Level IV with the NH DES Waste Management Division as a Solid Waste Operator and 4 yrs. experience in the Solid Waste field.  Or have the ability to acquire the Level IV certification within 6 months of the date of hire.   Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 Lbs.  

Starting salary includes paid vacation time, holiday, health, dental and life insurance. This is a non-union position.

The successful candidate will be required to have a background check, a physical and Federal DOT testing.
