The Solid Waste Manager will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Town's Transfer Station. They will work closely with the Town Manager to outline policies for the facility and ensure compliance with all relevant permits and regulations. They will supervise the facility's full & part-time staff and direct the public in the separation of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), Construction and Demolition (C&D) debris, Tires, Burnable items and recyclables. All duties to be performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task. Exceptional communication skills are a must as this position requires extensive interaction with the public. Previous managerial and supervision experience is preferred. Current NH DES Solid Waste Facility "Principal Operator" Certification or ability to receive within 6 months of hire required.
This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits including Health Insurance, Life & Disability Insurance and NH Retirement. Compensation based on education and experience with a general range of
$45,000.00 to $55,000.00 per year.
