NRRA Summer Series Webinar: Food - Too Good to Waste
Imagine buying 5 bags of groceries. On your way out of the store, you dump 2 of them directly in the trash. This is the reality for Americans, who waste roughly 40% of food produced for consumption. School cafeterias are no exception, but it doesn't have to be that way! This webinar will outline the wasted food crisis, model methods for measuring wasted cafeteria food, and provide tangible solutions.
Join the Northeast Resource Recovery Association, your recycling nonprofit, for this webinar to discuss these issues. Brenna Toman guides Central Vermont students to reduce waste as a School Zero Waste Coordinator for the Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District.
This webinar is available for both NRRA members and nonmembers. The following audiences are encouraged to participate: municipal recycling and transfer station staff, solid waste operators, public works staff, state and local government officials and staff, educators and community members. New Hampshire solid waste operators will receive one hour of continuing education credit for participating.
