NRRA Summer Series Webinar: Cafeteria Sorting Stations
A well-designed sorting station can play a critical role in supporting students in most effectively separating their cafeteria waste (food scraps, recycling, and trash), while also reducing the loss of food serviceware (silverware, etc.), all of which enhances a school’s sustainability efforts. This webinar will feature several examples of sorting stations along with the details of what has been found to work well (and not so well) in sorting station design and use in school cafeterias.
Join the Northeast Resource Recovery Association, your recycling nonprofit, for this webinar to discuss these issues. John Jose is the School Zero Waste Coordinator at the Central VT Solid Waste Mgmt District.
This webinar is available for both NRRA members and nonmembers. The following audiences are encouraged to participate: municipal recycling and transfer station staff, solid waste operators, public works staff, state and local government officials and staff, educators and community members. New Hampshire solid waste operators will receive one hour of continuing education credit for participating.
